Hi there, I just love being a family photographer in Moray, what I specialise in is Lifestyle family photography. What does that mean? I hear you ask. Well it means no awkward posing or having to say cheese lol or even having to change your outfits is required, our shoot together is going to be relaxed, natural and fun. Just be yourselves and I shall work my magic. Oh don't worry if you want a few posy photos then I can squeeze them in as well, but I beg you please don't say cheese lol

Where's mum
Tell me, how many family photos have you got that doesn't have mum in them? I bet the answer is loads of them, and do you know why? cos she's always the one taking the photos. Mums as we all know are the linchpin to every family, and guess what? there the ones that always end up carrying the camera and taking the photos, well I'm going by experience of many years of my wife doing exactly that. In years to come when your kids have grown up and there looking through the family albums they want to see their mum in the photos, not behind the camera taking them.

What happens during a shoot?
Well I am so glad that you asked that lol let me tell you. If it's an outdoor family photoshoot that you would like, then we can go to one of many great locations in Moray (and I know many) or better still somewhere of your choosing. Then the fun begins, a typical shoot would last about one hour, but don't fret if we go over, I'm not on the clock. Then we go for a walk and I just tell you some of my amazing dad jokes (there really NOT that amazing lol) and we just have fun, and I snap away taking all those photos of you laughing, smiling, looking at each other and at the camera. Those memories that your kids will want to look at in many years to come.

What? you want to phone? why why why. Well I like to call it the pre consultation call, and it's important, so please let me tell you why? We need to find out little details like, where we're going, Whats the kids names? What will I wear? And I bet you have a load of questions that you would like to ask me as well. But I promise you that there is no sales talk or pressure to book, cos I hate that when it happens to me.

Can I see some of your recent work?
Oh my word yes, please never book a photographer until you have checked out their work. You can find my images all over the place lol have a look here on my website, or check me out on social media. just type in my name lol
What is your style?
One of the most important things to consider, when hiring a photographer, is their style. While it may seem that every photographer does the same thing, they each have their own style. having them explain this to you can be really helpful. And if they have a website, you should be able to notice that style in the type of images that they have on their website.
What should we wear?
No matter the session, you should feel comfortable and confident.” When styling a family or group, I recommend you try to coordinate but not match. Choose two main colours to centralise around, but don’t all wear the same thing. Stay away from green clothing for any outdoor sessions. Also, think about dressing in layers so that I can play with those textures and get different shots with layers on and off. Dressing simple is key, and mixing some minimal prints with solids ensures that your outfits have interest but look normal and natural. I prefer when the photos are all about you and not about what you’re wearing.
How do I view the photos after the session?
A week or two after the shoot your edited images will be available for viewing in a private online gallery, where you can view and select all your images
Should we bring anything to the session?
It's great if you can bring along some of your child's favourite toys, games, balls, kites, bubbles – anything that you enjoy doing together as a family. Snacks are also a good idea to boost your child's energy levels.
Do you take any traditional posed shots?
Yes, I will spend some time taking some relaxed portraits of you together as a family, as this can be an important record for you too. But I spend more time letting the action happen naturally and capturing the moments as they unfold.
